From the Founder
When I first started working within frontline and support based environments, I do not think I fully understood how much pressure many people were quietly carrying behind the scenes.
Over time, that became impossible to ignore.
In different roles, teams and workplaces, I repeatedly encountered people who were emotionally exhausted but still showing up every day because the work mattered to them and because other people depended on them.
I saw leaders trying to support overwhelmed teams whilst carrying significant pressure themselves. Workplaces where stress, burnout and emotional fatigue had slowly become normalised simply because there was very little space to properly process or reflect and I saw many incredibly capable people becoming so used to coping that they rarely recognised the impact it was having on their own wellbeing.
SteadyPoint grew from those experiences.
Not from the idea of creating another wellbeing programme, but from the belief that people working within demanding human environments deserve support that feels genuine, grounded and realistic.
Support that understands the realities of frontline work, creates space for reflection before people reach breaking point and helps people feel more supported in the work they do rather than simply asking them to continue carrying more.
Everything within SteadyPoint has been shaped through those experiences and through a continued commitment to learning more about workplace wellbeing, emotional health and supportive workplace culture.
My hope is that SteadyPoint becomes a calm and supportive presence for both organisations and the people within them.
Thank you for taking the time to visit.

About SteadyPoint
A grounded approach to wellbeing and frontline support.
SteadyPoint is a workplace wellbeing and reflective support service created for people working within demanding human environments.
Founded in Scotland by Lewis Docherty, the service was shaped through years of experience working across adult social care, frontline support, mental health crisis services, leadership roles and wellbeing focused work.
Across different workplaces and sectors, the same challenges continued to appear:
Emotionally exhausted staff trying to keep going.
Leaders carrying increasing pressure with limited support themselves.
Teams functioning in survival mode for long periods of time.
SteadyPoint was created to offer a more grounded and emotionally informed approach to supporting the people working within these environments.
The focus is simple:
Creating calmer, healthier and more supportive spaces for the people carrying responsibility every day.
-
Human before professional. People should feel supported as people first, not simply as job roles or staff members.
Support should feel safe and approachable. Wellbeing support should not feel intimidating, performative or difficult to access.
Reflection matters. People working within demanding environments rarely get enough space to properly pause, process and reflect.
Prevention matters as much as crisis response. Support should not only appear once people are already overwhelmed or burned out.
Frontline realities should be acknowledged honestly. Meaningful support must recognise the genuine emotional pressures many staff and leaders carry every day.
Calm has value. In high pressure environments, calmer spaces, healthier conversations and grounded support can make a meaningful difference over time.
-
SteadyPoint is built around a calm, grounded and human approach to wellbeing support.
The focus is not on corporate wellbeing language, generic workshops or unrealistic quick fixes.
Instead, the aim is to create supportive spaces where people feel able to pause, reflect and access meaningful support in ways that feel approachable and emotionally safe.
Support is designed to feel:
• Practical rather than performative
